- WE PAY WELL – New employees with ZERO experience in construction can expect to start at $17.50/hr with yearly bonus based on performance. All Employees are eligible to earn bonus money on top of their per base pay for meeting and exceeding performance standards.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO WORK FOR GEI
- Must Have the Capacity and Willingness to Learn
- Class-A CDL Driver’s License Preferred but Not Required
- Clean Driving and Safety Record
- Pre-Employment Drug Test Must Be Passed
- 18 Years of Age is Required
- Zero Experience Required for Entry Level Positions
- Must not have been convicted of a DUI or a DWI in the past 5 years
- Must not have been convicted of driving recklessly the past 5 years
- Must act and behave in a professional manner when dealing with our customers and vendors.
General Laborer
- Basic Responsibilities
- Playing a supporting role to heavy equipment operators, linemen and foremen.
- Spotting utilities during excavation
- Handling materials
- Directing traffic and equipment
- Installing products
- Playing a supporting role to heavy equipment operators, linemen and foremen.
- Pay Range
- $31,000.00 to $63,000.00 per year
- Specific Qualifications
- There are no requirements or qualifications required for the position of general laborer other than a strong work ethic and a coachable attitude.
Lineman
- Basic Responsibilities
- Safe operation of an aerial work device – typically a bucket truck – to install aerial utilities.
- Pay Range
- $39,000.00 to $91,000.00 per year
- Specific Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in aerial communications construction
- Class “A” CDL is preferred but not required
Equipment Operator
- Basic Responsibilities
- Operating one or all of the following types of heavy equipment
- Excavator
- Backhoe
- Mini-Excavator
- Skid-Steer Loader
- Trencher
- Horizontal Directional Drill
- Operating one or all of the following types of heavy equipment
- Pay Range
- $39,000.00 to $89,000.00 per year
- Specific Qualifications
- 5 Years of experience operating one or more of the types of equipment listed above in the utility construction industry.
- Class “A” CDL is preferred but not required
Foreman
- Basic Responsibilities
- Lead person on a project
- Making the day to day decisions and ensuring production goals are met on a daily basis
- Ensuring a safe work environment
- Pay Range
- $60,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
- Specific Qualifications
- 10 Years of experience in utility construction with at least 5 years of experience in a management role.
Superintendent
- Basic Responsibilities
- Managing all aspects of several projects
- Estimating
- Project management
- Material acquisition
- Subcontractor Coordination
- Change Orders
- Job Costing
- Invoicing
- Managing all aspects of several projects
- Pay Range
- $75,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
- Specific Qualifications
- 15 Years of experience in the utility construction industry with at least 10 years of experience in management.
